For people who love sailing, the sea is like a second mother and their sailboats are their homes away from home. This particularly hardy breed of people is unfazed by the harsh realities of a life on the water and they embrace every challenge offered by the sea with a smile on their faces. But even for the most ardent of sea-lovers, the trappings of modern life are almost unavoidable and most of them like to equip their boats and yachts with modern amenities. While bigger boats can afford to have a dedicated space for batteries that can illuminate the whole sea craft, owners of smaller boats often have to get by with the bare minimum equipment and more often than not have to make do with candles and flashlights at night to conserve the battery power for use by the boats’ electronics when sailing. To help sailors enjoy a quite night on the sea without having to burn candles or struggle with flashlights, Dutchman Mas Peters has come with an ingenious solution called the MP01.
Produced by the Dutch company named Waterluce founded by Peters, the MP01 is basically a weatherproof and waterproof lighting solution for sailors. The MP01 fender light is a waterproof and sustainable lamp that comes with an air-filled shade that keeps it cool to the touch and makes it safe for use on various surfaces of the boat.
Providing a smooth surface for easy set up, the flat-based MP01 does not get warm very quickly and does not get damaged with extensive use. Made out of high quality materials, the multifunctional and sustainably designed MP01 can be used as a suspension light when hung from the boom of the boat or even as an ambient light when left floating in the water around the boat.
