Mumbai being one of the most densely populated cities of India needs to have a well connected transport system in place, catering to its population. Even though traveling is a major chore for the people, it has become almost necessary for everyone to commute by overcrowded trains.
Giving an alternate solution for the same, the Water Transport Mumbai 2025 concept has been designed. Water Transport Mumbai 2025 shall make use of the water bodies surrounding Mumbai, while main intention is to ferry people across from one side to the other. The concept is fairly simple, but then it’s yet to see when it comes into play and provides a sense of relief to the daily commuters.
The idea incorporates a catamaran vessel into its concept. The vessel is a good 20 m long which is further powered by 120 solar panels. So not only is this transport vehicle going to relive the congestion of Mumbai, it will even provide an eco friendly edge to it. With a capacity to seat a good 150 people in one go, even the disabled and VIP people can have a go in this vessel.
Imagine what this kind of a vehicle would do for the suburbs of Mumbai. The twin decks of the boat would not only seat a lot of people, they would even provide a panoramic view to those seated above. The areas being covered by Water Transport Mumbai 2025 would be Borivali, Juhu, Bandra, Nariman Point, Chembur, Vashi and Panvel amongst some others. The crisscross locations of these points would ensure that the east and west coast of Mumbai are locally connected with each other, thanks to the facility to commute by water.
I’m sure the Government of India would be the happiest when it comes to launching and funding the Water Transport Mumbai 2025. Keeping in mind the kind of decongestion capabilities which would come to the fore, the idea of this transport vessel would be a great boon for Mumbai.
