Have you ever wondered why most of the people get affected by hearing problems at their early ages itself? It’s because of the use of destructive headphones and headsets. In this modern world, most of the younger people have their own audio devices, not only as a source for hearing music but also to pass away their traveling time. You might see a lot of people covering their ears with headsets while traveling in bus, train and other modes of transport. In fact, you can even see people using their headsets while driving and riding vehicles, which is extremely dangerous. Altamash Jiwani is one of the Indian designers, who has proposed a concept of non-destructive headphones, which is designed to be placed over your ears instead of covering them completely.
Human beings are not good at multi-tasking by nature. Even if you can do two or more tasks at a time, literally your concentration will be only on any one of those tasks. The availability of a wide variety of headphones gives the users an option to choose the best device that suits their style of hearing. However, most of the headphones available today are very sophisticated and designed in such a way that they cover our ears fully, which is literally blocking your ears from the environment. Modern innovations like noise cancellation technique is a wonderful feature, however, they increase the chance of fatal accidents when used at the wrong place.
In Altamash’s concept, the sound waves will reach the ears without blocking the sounds from the environment. Unlike the conventional headphone, this design avoids blocking the ear canal, thereby allowing the users to be aware of their surroundings. To mention, this design eliminates the accumulation of bacteria around your ear canals too. They also have soft buds to hold the device near your ears. Above all, users should wisely decide, when and where to use such devices safely.
