In today’s trying times, there is no time for anyone to stop. In an endeavor to keep on going always, Bridgestone, the famous tire company, has come up with the concept of air free tires. No more need to worry about ever slowing down or being stranded on roads due to tire punctures. After all, man invented the wheel, and man himself has now invented airless tires too.
Using the technology of thermoplastic resin instead of air as the main support system, the tires have been devised. Gone are the days when you had to keep on getting the air pressure checked in your tires. Advance to the next era’s technology and keep yourself from all these prevalent hassles.
The air has been replaced with curved spokes which often form the base for the tires. Acting like a support system, these curves are interlaced with each other, thereby creating a grid system inside the tire’s frame. The criss cross fashion of the spokes help the tires to FLEX effectively without twisting, enabling them to tread and move more systematically.
The tires are not fashionable only; they are eco-friendly too. If you’re wondering and scratching your head in amazement, then read on. The spokes are made of a recyclable material known as thermoplastic resin, thus making the tires environment friendly and recyclable.
Once fitted into carts, these wheels have a capacity to bear the weight upto 50 kgs on each wheel. After due testing, it was found that they can even support weights upto 150 kgs, if the need arises ever.
Although, the functionality of the wheels precedes it, they are to be used on a more internal level for the time being. The progression to other standardized vehicles is yet to take place, after proper tests and results are known. Till then, all we can do is sit and wait for them to revolutionize history and recreate the future.
