A subsidiary of the German luxury car company, Porsche Design is perhaps one of the more famous automotive merchandise design firms in the world. The company, that makes literally everything that can be fitted with a Porsche logo, also inspires designers around the world to come up with concepts for their various lines of Porsche branded accessories and the latest to join the ever burgeoning Porsche Design stock is the Porsche Design Headphones concept by product designer Jules Parmentier. The designer intends for the Porsche Design Headphones to offer the best high end audio experience to the music lovers.
The headphone are intended not just to provide the user with a posh music listening experience, but to also allow them to use the pair to show off their taste for the finer things in life with this Porsche Design exclusive. Fashioned with noble material, the headphone will be designed to offer crystal clear sound quality with one single piece integrating the two major elements the user interacts with the most via the side metallic part.
To allow the user to customize the speaker’s volume to their particular needs, a special adjustment system has been provided at the sides. Insuring a smooth yet stable interaction are the fixed speakers that come with ball stoppers and help the user adjust the speakers along the step pattern of the rails. The Stuttgart Porsche Museum’s ground metallic rails provided the inspiration for the pattern of the side metallic rails used in the headphones. To ensure that the headphone can be stored away in a compact form, the headphones were fitted with an integrated spring loaded hinge that allows the headphones to be smoothly auto locked in place whenever the user needs to open or close them. Leather cushions, carbon fiber texture speakers, and fixation caps are all fully customizable and allow the user to display their own tastes and like via custom fittings.
