If you liked the classic pocket watch from your granddad’s collection, then you’re gonna simply love the Kisai Rogue Touch Pocket Watch. A futuristic take on the traditional, the limited edition watch is fashioned just like a classic pocket watch but comes with all the modern tech that you find in most of the 21st century gizmos. The primary watch interface features an innovative touch screen technology which allows user to interact with the LCD display just like they do with their smartphones and tablet PCs.
The bright LED backlighting allows the hybrid LCD/LED interface of the Kisai Rogue Touch Pocket Watch to be more accessible to the user since the LED backlight illuminates the watch on demand while the LCD display keeps the display running even in energy-saving mode. Of course, the watch comes with a futuristic animation which stamps its Japanese origins more authentically on it, though users can choose to turn this feature off if they don’t like a funky mascot jumping up on the display every time they want to tell time. The watch also features all the functions that your digital clock or smartphone clock has and comes with an alarm and a date mode as well as dual time zone displays for the international user.
The multi-functional watch design changes modes from time to date to alarm to “light up” with a simple touch of the finger and users can easily access each function via four hot zones located at the top, bottom, right and left sides of the touch screen respectively. To customize the settings of the watch, the user simply has to hold their finger in the desired hot-zone for a few seconds and the settings of the hot-zone’s preset functions are brought to the fore and can thus be adjusted by the user.
The LED “light up” function can be used to instantly illuminate the watch from energy-saving mode though the watch interface locks up automatically after the interface has been left idle for 60 second to ensure any accidental inputs aren’t made. Users can swipe their fingers across the screen from left to right to unlock the phone’s interface. The watch also comes with audio feedback which allows it to be used by people with visual disabilities as well.
To protect it from dust, a mineral crystal lens closes over the interface and the watch comes with a spring-hinged circular metal cover to secure the display from scratches and damage. With brushed detail on the case edges and button, the Kisai Rogue Touch Pocket Watch has a polished finish and comes encased in a classic stainless steel pocket watch case that gives it a timeless look. The watch will fit neatly into your pocket and can be secured to a waistcoat, lapel or belt loop with the attached stainless steel chain.
