Toshihiro Kubota and Yves Bachmann have come up with a project, which vows to give a complete facelift to the largest industrial harbor center of Taiwan. The Kaohsiung Port and Cruise Service Center is the most important part of the industrial harbor and is frequented by a lot of passengers. Both, national and international passengers use it as a place of departure and arrival. The designers thought of revamping it in a way that will reflect the true side of Taiwan’s culture.
Taiwan is blessed to be surrounded with greenery and has a lot of birds chirping all around. The designers used this in their favor and came up with an amazing concept, which will leave visitors in a state of awe. The project consists of a lot of vegetation that sprinkles natural beauty everywhere. This will also whiff out an important message to save green lands that are getting depleted because of urbanization. The thick vegetative carpet will lend attention-grabbing properties and manage to create ripples.
The structure, a symbol of natural beauty, will be dipped in colors that imitate those of endemic birds found in Taiwan. The demand for air-conditioning will take a back seat as the cruise center will be covered against sunlight, which will in turn save energy. The Kaohsiung Port and Cruise Service Center is a great blend of ecological and economical spheres. It will put forward the culture of Taiwan and help people form a connection with it.
