Touchscreens have become a hot favorite amongst people all around the globe. Alpa Tugan, a musician, new media artist, coder and designer, has come up with an interesting project named Squatouch. It is a musical interface which is computer based. The interactive device puts forward a multitouch user interface for a much better experience.
The novel musical interface exploits the computers in an ingenious way. In the beginning, the device was crafted to be used by a single person. The design comprised of a single keyboard coupled with a mouse. But, as the designing and technology progressed, it was swapped into a multi-user device. The introduction of fresh and better technology has given birth to alternative interaction techniques in the overall designing. A multitouch interface is a new language which a user is expected to learn to operate the device smoothly. This unfurls a new environment where multiple users can intermingle with device sans the need of a keyboard or mouse.
Squatouch touches the highest point when it comes to interaction between humans and computers. The touchable interface is a great substitute for conventional graphical surfaces. It will prove to be a turning point in terms of multi-user device and cause ripples everywhere.
